A chronograph is a multi function wristwatch that does more than tell the current time accurately.Upon activation of it's buttons, depending on it's configuration, it can tell you:
- the miles per hour average your race car goes on a quarter-mile track.
- The kilometers per hour over a course of one fifth a kilometer.
- The pulse rate of a medical patient
- The artillery aiming information needed (distance) based on the means of sound
- Any elapsed time recording.
If you own a prized possession of the highest mechanical order—a Swiss or American chronograph from the most refined years of mechanical watch manufacturing—and are interested in it's guaranteed and deserved high quality restoration, read on. I accept for restoration only the mechanical manual wind or self winding chronographs that were made between the years 1925 and 1975.
There are over 100 reasons why your Swiss or American chronograph won't run. One or more of it's 200 parts may be broken, rusted, mis-calibrated, un-original, previously improperly serviced, under lubricated or just plain tired. Watch restoration is fascinating yet not an easy profession. Diagnosing accurately, the mechanical problems of your chronograph- over the Internet isn't any easier. Most watch problems are diagnosed while being fully disassembled for servicing.
Many of the vintage chronographs I restore are already 70 years old, and are in need of parts due to wear, fatigue, or breakage. Every customer's watch depending on age, model, style, original quality, usage, previous repairs, parts availability, and overall care, demands very individual care. Every watch that I authorize to be sent to me for restoration will be fully and professionally serviced using authentic replacement parts if necessary. All work and parts are guaranteed for one year.
Most mechanical chronograph watch restorations are conducted in 5 blocks of time ranging from an hour to two each. Upon completion, every mechanical and artistic consideration has been a applied. Your restored chronograph watch is ready again for daily use, and in most cases won't need it's next servicing for up to 15 years.
Every watch is unique in it's needs but to better help you understand the consumer considerations of the restoration of your chronograph, read on. All chronograph restorations include case cleaning-polishing and crystal polishing.

Oregon has no sales tax.Above service prices include full servicing of movement, case, dial and crystal to it's most functional and presentable condition possible. All replacement parts and labor guaranteed for one year. I proudly stand behind my work. Every artistic and mechanical aspect of the restoration of your watch will be seen to.
